Privacy Policy — WowScience Uploader
Last updated: October 19, 2026
WowScience Uploader is an internal tool operated by TechSensia (operator of the YouTube channel "WowScience by TechSensia") to upload and manage videos on TechSensia's own YouTube channel. It is not offered to the public, and it has no end users other than the channel owner.
Google user data we access
Through the YouTube Data API v3, and only with the channel owner's explicit OAuth consent, the tool accesses data belonging to the owner's own Google account, limited to the following scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload— to upload videos to the owner's channelhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl— to manage video metadata, captions, and playlists on the owner's channel over a secure connection
How the data is used
Google user data is used solely to operate the owner's own channel: uploading video files, setting titles, descriptions and thumbnails, uploading caption files, and organizing the owner's own playlists. The tool does not access data of any other Google user.
Storage and protection
OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored only on the operator's own private computer, in files readable only by the operator. Tokens are transmitted only to Google over HTTPS. No Google user data is stored on any third-party server.
Data protection mechanisms
Because the tool handles sensitive data (OAuth credentials that can act on the owner's YouTube channel), the following technical and organizational safeguards protect that data:
- Encryption in transit: all communication with Google APIs uses HTTPS/TLS. OAuth tokens and API data are never transmitted over an unencrypted connection.
- Protection at rest: access and refresh tokens are stored only in local files on a single, operator-controlled private computer, protected by the operating system's account login and restrictive file permissions (readable only by the operator's own user account). Tokens are never stored in source code, in cloud storage, or on any third-party server.
- Access control: exactly one authorized operator (the channel owner) can access the stored credentials. The tool requests only the minimum scopes needed to operate the owner's own channel (least-privilege), and no other person or service is given access to the tokens or to data obtained through them.
- Data minimization: the tool does not download or retain copies of the owner's Google account data beyond the video, caption, and metadata files the owner instructs it to publish. API responses are processed transiently to complete the requested operation.
- Revocation and incident response: if a credential is suspected to be compromised, the operator immediately revokes the tool's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions and deletes the stored tokens, which terminates all access. Access can be revoked at any time, for any reason, with immediate effect.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer Google user data to any third party, and we do not use Google user data for advertising. Data is disclosed only as required by law.
Retention and deletion
Tokens are retained only while the tool is in use for the owner's channel. The owner can revoke the tool's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately stops all access; stored tokens are then deleted. To request deletion of any stored data, contact us at the address below.
Limited Use disclosure
WowScience Uploader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
